External Entity Component

In the Data Flow Diagram, an External Entity is called Terminator. The Terminator is a source or target of a data flow in the Data Flow Diagram. An External Entity is operating the Business Process from outside of the System. In general, an External Entity is a Person or Group of People or Organization or Government or Department or External System or External Application.

Note: The External Entities Relationship cannot determine in the Data Flow Diagram.
