Modem is a Hardware Device that helps to connect a Computer on the Internet through a Cable or Telephone or Wireless Method to do a bi-directional data communication. Modem is receives Analog or Radio Signal from ISP Server Computer and then convert into Digital Signal to access the data on the Personal Computer. Modem is receives Digital Signal from Personal Computer and then convert into Analog or Radio Signal to transmit data on the Internet through ISP Server Computer.
Cable Modem is implemented with Cable Television Technology that helps to do bi-directional data communication through Radio Frequency on the Internet. Cable Modem can connect with Computer through Ethernet Card, Coaxial Cable and BNC Connector Hardware Devices. Cable Modem is a traditional method to do high speed data transmission service on the Internet.
Cable Television Technology is a one direction data transmission technique and Cable Modem is a bi-direction data transmission service that is complex to do data modulation on the Internet. Cable Modem can connect with a Set Top Box that helps to connect a Television and Computer to distribute the Radio Frequency to watch Television and access Internet.
